Cookie Policy
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Similar technologies, such as the local storage of your browser, do the same job. This page lists what BookieScout saves on your device, why, and how long it stays there.
What we use
| Name | Category | What it is for | Lifetime | Set by |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| preferred_locale | Strictly necessary | Remembers the language and region you chose. | 1 year | BookieScout |
| bookiescoutcom-session | Strictly necessary | Keeps your visit together. | 2 hours of inactivity | BookieScout |
| XSRF-TOKEN | Strictly necessary | Protects forms against requests sent from other sites. | 2 hours | BookieScout |
| bs_cookie_consent (local storage) | Strictly necessary | Remembers your answer in the cookie window. | 12 months | BookieScout |
Strictly necessary cookies do not need your consent and cannot be switched off. At the moment BookieScout sets no analytics and no marketing cookies. If we add them, they will be listed here and will stay off until you allow them in the cookie window.
How to change your choice
The cookie window opens on your first visit. To change your answer later, use "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings; the site keeps working, but it will not remember your language.
Other services
The site loads its font from Google Fonts, so Google can see your IP address when a page opens; no cookies are involved. When you follow a link to a bookmaker through BookieScout, we store only a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address, your browser type and the page you came from, to count clicks; we set no cookie for this. The bookmaker's own site has its own cookies and its own policy.
