Wagering is the single most misread line in any bonus. The multiplier tells you how much you must stake in total before bonus money becomes withdrawable cash.

The arithmetic

Take a 100 deposit with a 100% bonus at 35x on bonus only. You must stake 100 x 35 = 3,500 before you can withdraw. If the terms say 35x on deposit + bonus, it is 7,000.

  1. Find the multiplier and what it applies to: bonus only, or deposit plus bonus.
  2. Multiply. That is your total required stake, not your required losses.
  3. Check game weighting: slots usually count 100%, table games often 10% or less.
  4. Check the maximum bet allowed while wagering, often 5 per spin.

Common questions

Does a 35x bonus mean I lose 3,500?

No. It is the total amount you must stake. With a 96% RTP slot you would expect to lose roughly 4% of it over that turnover.

Can I bet big to clear it faster?

Almost never. Nearly every bonus caps the maximum bet during wagering, and breaking the cap voids the bonus.

Do table games count?

Usually only partly. Blackjack at 10% weighting means a 10 bet counts as 1 towards wagering.
